About/Bio
Live in Duluth, Minnesota. Retired from the Duluth News-Tribune in 2013 after a 35-year career there as a reporter/columnist/editor. Now working as investigator/public information officer in the St. Louis County Attorney's Office in Duluth. U.S. Air Force veteran 1967-71 with service in Vietnam, Korea and the Philippines. Graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. Ran first marathon in 1978. Most of that time I have been an average, but durable marathoner. Have completed the Savage 7 and the Lake Tahoe Triple marathons, as well as the Leadville, Wasatch, Superior, Vermont, and Old Dominion 100-milers and ran 100.3 miles in the FANS 24-Hour event in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
