This fall marathon starts out in front of the Newfound Memorial Middle School and heads out around the east side of Newfound Lake toward Hebron and Groton NH. The marathon turn around is by Sculptured Rock at about 14 miles, the start line for the half. The return is along the west side of the lake and finishes behind the middle school. 20. Hotels: Mostly Bed & Breakfast in the area, but a few motels. Choices listed on the website. I recommend the Henry Whipple House, .3 miles from the start. Reserve early, rooms book up fast.
